Establishing a Solid Foundation

Player-First Culture

Preteen and early teen soccer may be the most important coaching window in a soccer player's development. These are formative years for children and they represent the best opportunity to instill a lifelong love for the game of soccer in them. A true passion for soccer keeps players in the game for a lifetime and helps to develop champion players, teams and clubs.

The SF Aftershocks FC seeks to build a positive player-first culture. The soccer environment for all its members supports the development of the player first and then the team. The club's philosophy of coaching youth soccer places great importance on age appropriate activities and creating a youth-centered learning environment. Many great players have traced personal success to the coaching received at an early age. It is hoped that all SF Aftershocks FC members will look back with pride at their time with the club.

SF Aftershocks FC coaches and managers strive to maintain a supportive, youth-centered and positive environment that is conducive to player growth and improvement. The experience can be summed up using four words that begin with "F" – Fun, Family, Fitness and Friendship.
